Write an executive summary with an evidence trail
A short summary still needs traceable claims. A practical OfficeCubs workflow with a review checklist.

A short summary still needs traceable claims. Define the decision-maker’s question so the tool can prioritize material without inventing importance.
Prepare the source material
Choose a document role and attach only the approved source material. Specify the audience, desired sections and output format before starting. A local task needs compatible document tooling; the sandbox includes document-generation libraries. Open the original DOCX in a document application to inspect page breaks, tables and headings, because an extracted text preview cannot establish layout quality.
Inputs for this workflow: An approved report with stable section or page references.
Work through the task
- Identify the central decision and supporting findings.
- Separate evidence from recommendations.
A brief you can adapt
Draft summary.docx in no more than one page. Include the decision, three supported findings, main uncertainty and source references. Label recommendations as proposals.
The filenames above are examples. Replace them with your actual inputs and destination before submitting the task.
Review the deliverable
Check the referenced passages and confirm that caveats survived compression.
Where this approach can fail
A summary cannot strengthen a weak underlying source merely by using decisive language.
