Reduce slide text while preserving the argument
Shorter slides should preserve the evidence and move detail into notes rather than deleting qualifiers.

Shorter slides should preserve the evidence and move detail into notes rather than deleting qualifiers. Define what the audience must remember.
Prepare the slide brief
Supply the audience, decision to support, time available and approved source material. Ask for a content outline before detailed slide production when the story is still uncertain. Generating PPTX requires compatible tools. Review the original presentation and, when rendering tools are available, inspect slide images for clipping and small text; text extraction alone cannot verify a deck.
Inputs for this workflow: A text-heavy presentation and its approved source notes.
Work through the task
- Identify the main claim on each slide.
- Move supporting explanation to notes.
A brief you can adapt
Create a revised copy with one message per slide, concise labels and fuller speaker notes. Retain source citations and caveats.
The filenames above are examples. Replace them with your actual inputs and destination before submitting the task.
Review the deliverable
Compare the original and revised claims, then check whether labels remain understandable without the notes.
Where this approach can fail
A short headline can become misleading if it drops the uncertainty or comparison period.
