Accounts

Do I need separate OfficeCubs and AI accounts?

Yes. Follow the desktop steps and verify the result.

OfficeCubs · · 1 min read

Yes. The marketplace account manages remote profiles and account features. Your Claude Code, Codex or DeepSeek Harness account supplies the model access used by desktop tasks.

Before you begin

The marketplace account belongs to the server address you sign into. It is separate from your AI provider login and from the local desktop office. Account access does not include model credits. Check the current pricing page before assuming checkout or a paid subscription is available.

Steps

  1. Sign into the intended marketplace for discovery.
  2. Install and authorize a supported AI tool separately.
  3. Check the tool in Office settings.

Example

A successful OfficeCubs login can coexist with an expired CLI session. Resolve the failing account at its own service rather than changing both passwords.

Check the result

Verify catalog access and a small local task independently.

Limits and troubleshooting

OfficeCubs does not include model credits. A configured marketplace subscription is not a replacement for provider access.
