Can I set a reasoning level for each teammate?

The current desktop uses the CLI's reasoning default.

OfficeCubs · · 1 min read

The current desktop uses the CLI’s reasoning default. OfficeCubs does not provide a separate per-teammate reasoning-level control, so the Overview label is informational.

Before you begin

A work engine is the CLI process that performs the task. OfficeCubs supplies the task context and records its progress, while authentication, model availability and usage charges come from your chosen provider. Successful detection is a setup check, not proof that every model or task will work.

Steps

  1. Inspect the teammate’s engine and Overview.
  2. Review the selected CLI’s own supported configuration if needed.
  3. Start a new small task after any external change.

Example

Two teammates using the same CLI may inherit the same reasoning behavior even when their roles and character appearances differ.

Check the result

Check the actual CLI configuration used by the task instead of assuming a role name changes reasoning.

Limits and troubleshooting

Do not treat a longer-running task as evidence of a higher reasoning setting. Runtime and task complexity also affect duration.
