How do I attach a local skill folder?

Use the Skills area to import a local directory containing SKILL.md and connect it to a teammate. This preserves access to referenced resources at their original location.

Before you begin

A teammate combines a role, working guide and selected resources. Character appearance does not determine the AI model. Local employees, creator drafts and marketplace publications are separate records: changing one does not automatically replace all the others. Review the relevant record before starting a task.

Steps

1. Read SKILL.md and inspect its resource references.
2. Import the complete local skill directory.
3. Bind the skill to the intended teammate.
4. Run a limited test.

Example

A presentation skill may reference a theme file and rendering script. Keep those files with the skill rather than copying only its instruction text.

Check the result

Check that every referenced resource exists and that the selected environment can read it during the task.

Limits and troubleshooting

A single SKILL.md text import does not download scripts, templates or dependencies. It is not universal support for arbitrary agent plugins.
