What happens when I update or withdraw a published role?

Publishing a new version updates the marketplace record while preserving version history. Withdrawing removes it from discovery but does not delete other people’s downloaded packages or existing employees.

Before you begin

A teammate combines a role, working guide and selected resources. Character appearance does not determine the AI model. Local employees, creator drafts and marketplace publications are separate records: changing one does not automatically replace all the others. Review the relevant record before starting a task.

Steps

1. Open My publications.
2. Edit a new version or choose Withdraw.
3. Review the target record and confirm the action.
4. Check the resulting public state.

Example

Fix a working guide in a new version instead of expecting an immutable published version to be overwritten in place.

Check the result

Compare the version shown in the marketplace with the version in an already recruited teammate’s local Overview.

Limits and troubleshooting

Existing employees keep their snapshots. Withdrawal cannot recall instructions or files someone has already downloaded.
