How do I create a custom teammate role?

Create a role around a repeatable deliverable rather than a broad personality. The working guide should explain inputs, workflow, quality checks and what the teammate must report when information is missing.

Before you begin

A teammate combines a role, working guide and selected resources. Character appearance does not determine the AI model. Local employees, creator drafts and marketplace publications are separate records: changing one does not automatically replace all the others. Review the relevant record before starting a task.

Steps

1. Open Discover and Create a teammate.
2. Name the role and its useful tasks.
3. Describe deliverables and the working guide.
4. Try a small local task before publishing.

Example

A release-note editor can accept approved change notes, group them by user impact and produce a draft that flags any unsupported compatibility claims.

Check the result

Run a sample task and compare the result with the role’s stated deliverables.

Limits and troubleshooting

A saved draft is local. Creating it does not publish it to the marketplace or replace an existing employee’s guide.
