Getting started

How do I check that I opened the current build?

Check the version displayed in the desktop sidebar.

Check the version displayed in the desktop sidebar. Building a new app does not replace a running process, and an old Dock shortcut can keep launching an obsolete bundle.

Before you begin

OfficeCubs is a desktop application. The public console manages accounts; it does not run the desktop task engine in your browser. Public signed installers are still marked coming soon on the download page. These instructions apply to an available desktop build, including a build from the project source.

Steps

  1. Finish active work and quit the old app.
  2. From a source checkout use make run to rebuild and launch.
  3. Check the sidebar version after launch.

Example

On macOS, the current debug bundle is target/debug/bundle/macos/OfficeCubs.app. The old build/bin/OfficeCubs.app path is a legacy artifact.

Check the result

A teammate should expose the current Overview and Logs views. If an expected view is entirely absent, verify the executable first.

Limits and troubleshooting

make launch starts the last debug build without compiling. Closing a window may leave the previous app running in the background.
