How do I change which teammate answers a bot?

Change the connection’s selected teammate without replacing the bot. New accepted tasks use the chosen assignment, while existing tasks keep the teammate and workspace captured when submitted.

Before you begin

Messaging submits work to an existing desktop teammate. Keep OfficeCubs running, connected to the internet and able to use its AI tool. Check both the provider connection and the task result: a bot connection can be healthy while the selected work engine still needs attention.

Steps

1. Open Manage connection.
2. Select the intended active teammate.
3. Check that its engine and workspace are ready.
4. Submit a new small text task.

Example

Switch a bot from a writing role to a research role only after checking the new role’s working guide and available source files.

Check the result

Inspect the new task’s teammate identity in Task board rather than judging only by the bot name.

Limits and troubleshooting

Changing the assignment does not move running tasks to another employee or grant that employee access to missing files.
