When should I use Interactive terminal mode?

Use Interactive terminal when the selected tool requires a live terminal conversation or permission prompt. You handle those prompts in the desktop task terminal.

Before you begin

A work engine is the CLI process that performs the task. OfficeCubs supplies the task context and records its progress, while authentication, model availability and usage charges come from your chosen provider. Successful detection is a setup check, not proof that every model or task will work.

Steps

  1. Edit the teammate’s advanced settings.
  2. Select Interactive terminal.
  3. Wait for the tool to become ready before sending the task.
  4. Open the task terminal to respond to requests.

Example

If a tool asks whether it may run a command, inspect the command and destination in the terminal before answering.

Check the result

Read both the terminal output and the actual deliverable after the process exits.

Limits and troubleshooting

An interactive process exit is labeled Result needs review. Process termination alone is not verified task success.
