Why do tasks using the same folder wait?

OfficeCubs can queue work when active tasks use overlapping folders.

OfficeCubs can queue work when active tasks use overlapping folders. Waiting protects shared files from concurrent writes that could corrupt or obscure each other’s results.

Before you begin

A workspace determines where a teammate executes work and saves files. The environment is captured with a task, so changing a teammate later does not rewrite an earlier task. Local execution and Docker isolation have different permissions; read the selected mode before submitting real project data.

Steps

  1. Inspect currently running tasks and their workspaces.
  2. Wait for the task holding the overlapping folder.
  3. Use separate workspaces for independent jobs.

Example

Two teammates should not simultaneously rewrite the same project report. Let one finish, review the output, then give the next teammate a deliberate handoff.

Check the result

The queued task should progress when capacity and folder access become available. Check its events if it remains stalled.

Limits and troubleshooting

Increasing concurrency does not make simultaneous writes to the same files safe. Independent directories are the better boundary for unrelated work.
